Giving Back
Publicom has been a successful business since 1979. We believe we owe our longevity to an unwavering commitment to always doing what’s right. And that means operating with integrity and going the extra mile for our clients. It also means being good citizens.
Pro Bono Publico!
We invented our own ’round the clock charity event: Pro Bono Publico!, which in Latin means “for the greater good.” Pro Bono Publico! is a 24-hour, nonstop marathon, where we provide our services to select nonprofit organizations for free. During the past four events, we provided $500,000 in free services that were created from start to finish in 24 hours, pro bono (with a little help from our valued vendors and generous freelance friends.)
DEI
We are strong supporters of diversity, equity and inclusion. In addition to volunteering for the Chamber’s DEI committee, we donate time and talent each year to publicizing the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Commission of Mid Michigan’s Day of Celebration to create awareness of important civil rights topics.
40+1 Grants
For our 41st anniversary in 2020, we partnered with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) to give back to the community in a big way, donating 40 hours of pro bono work (x 4!) and 1 years’ worth of marketing communications consulting. More than 160 hours in services were donated to four recipients in need.
